Well...I've been trying to get back on track with my work. I finally finished
Sosei Returns, which to me, was something that I don't usually do. That was the first time I used foreshortening, even though it was a little off. In addition, the pose was a bit more dynamic than any than I believe I've attempted before.
However, I still know I have a long way to go until I feel truly happy with where I am with my work. I have an old gallery up at epilogue.net, which only features my old
Sphinx piece. I did that FOUR YEARS AGO..yet, my new artwork (which I believe has better colors and a more dynamic pose, and a greater grasp of shading) was denied there. It was kind of a let down, when something you did 4 years ago still stays, yet this new thing you do does not. They didn't give me a reason, which I wish they would. I do know that the foreshortening isn't quite perfect but I'm working on it...it's one of my first real attempts at it!
I'm somewhat perplexed, but I guess I'll just keep working.
